UAV Test Sites

UAV Test Sites

The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) announcement on May 9, 2018, awarded 10 cities and/or organizations, partnerships with the government to accelerate safe Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integrated Pilot Program (IPP). Among the 10 announced state, local and tribal governments selected was the City of San Diego, California. As part of the application, specific airspaces are designated for commercial testing. Among them are the City of Chula Vista UAV Test Site, Electric Network Vehicle Institution, and Qualcomm Headquarters.
